We're Back! A Heartfelt Apology and a Joyful Announcement
Dear Readers,
I owe you a sincere apology. It's been far too long since my last blog post, and I know many of you have been wondering where I've been. The truth is, I've been on the most beautiful, exhausting, and life-changing adventure of my life—welcoming our baby boy into the world!
Our Little Miracle Arrived in September
From the moment we held him in our arms, our world completely changed. Those first few months flew by in a beautiful blur of midnight feedings, tiny fingers wrapped around ours, and discovering what pure, unconditional love really feels like.
Why the Blog Went Quiet
As joyful as this time has been, it also meant putting some things on pause—including this blog that I love so much. Here's what kept me away:
Round-the-clock care: Newborns don't follow schedules, and our little guy needed (and still needs!) constant attention
Sleep deprivation: Those "sleep when the baby sleeps" days turned into survival mode
Family adjustment: Learning to navigate life as parents of three has been a beautiful learning curve
Cherishing every moment: I wanted to be fully present for these irreplaceable first months
Thank You for Your Patience
To everyone who continued checking back, left comments asking if I was okay, or sent kind messages—I see you, and I appreciate you more than words can express. Your support and understanding mean the world to me. I never meant to leave you hanging, but becoming a parent required all of my focus and energy.
What's Next for the Blog
I'm thrilled to announce that we're back! Here's what you can look forward to:
Regular posting schedule: I'll be sharing new content weekly again
Fresh perspectives: Parenthood has given me new insights that I'll weave into our preservation content
Family memory preservation: Special posts about documenting baby milestones and family history
Your stories: I'd love to hear about your experiences preserving family memories—especially with newborns!
A Special Request
Since we're talking about preserving memories, I thought I'd ask for your wisdom:
What worked best for organizing baby photos and videos in your family?
Favorite first-year milestones you wish you'd documented better?
Tips for new parents on preserving those fleeting early moments?
Looking Ahead with Gratitude
This break, while unplanned, was exactly what our family needed. Now that we're finding our rhythm, I'm excited to return to this space with renewed energy and appreciation for all of you. Thank you for being part of our journey—both the consistent posting years AND the quiet months.
Let's Catch Up!
I'd love to hear from you in the comments:
Have you had a baby recently and want to share your memory preservation tips?
What's one family memory you've been meaning to digitize?
What blog topics would you love to see most right now?
Welcome to the World, Little One
To our newest family member: your arrival paused the blog, but you've inspired countless new stories we'll share here. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift—perspective—and for bringing all of us together in celebration.
Here's to new beginnings, preserved memories, and the beautiful chaos of family life!
With love and gratitude,
Jeremy
Proud Parent
